Homebase Capturing

In Season 1:

During Season 1, when a player's Homebase HP is reduced to zero, it is not permanently lost but is instead relocated.

Key features of this system include:

  • After being defeated, the Homebase relocates to a random high-security area within the player's corporation faction, ensuring safety and a fresh start.
  • This relocation moves the Homebase from low-security to high-security territory, providing a strategic reset while keeping it within the faction's controlled space.

This approach ensures that losing a home base is a setback but not a complete loss, maintaining balance while allowing for strategic adaptation.

In Season 2:

Season 2 introduces a more intense and strategic capture mechanic, shifting from relocation to direct enemy control. Here’s how it works:

  • Once a Homebase is captured, it becomes invulnerable. The shield will drop when its HP reaches around 400-410, preventing immediate recapture. The Homebase shield remains active for 10 hours and has a cooldown period of 6 hours.
  • Players can now customize their Homebase with any empire style.
  • If a Homebase’s HP reaches 0, it will be captured instead of relocating to a random spot.
  • Captured Homebases lose resources and remain under enemy control until rescued.
  • To rescue an ally’s captured Homebase, its Defender HP must regenerate, or players can pay a ransom for release.

This shift makes Homebase defense, ransom negotiations, and territorial alliances more critical than ever before.
